Reading master's degree

The MOE Key Laboratory of Biosystems Homeostasis & Protection , based on the double-first-class construction of biology and ecology of Zhejiang University, openly selects outstanding young talents from home and abroad, strengthens the construction of academic team and improves the academic innovation ability in an all-round way.            

In 2018, Professor Xu Pinglong was supported by the National Outstanding Youth Fund, Professor Zhou Qi was supported by the Youqing Project of the National Fund Committee and Professor Jin applied for the Youqing Project of the National Fund Committee until 2019. Starting from the overall layout of the discipline, the key laboratory introduced 21 outstanding young talents from home and abroad, such as Lin Aifu and Yi Wen, to enrich them. The research team of key laboratories is emphasized. At present, these outstanding academic backbones play an important role in the construction of academic teams and disciplines. Four research directions of key laboratories have formed research teams with reasonable age structure and strong innovative ability. At the same time, key laboratories have carried out cross-disciplinary research with clinical medicine, material chemistry, oceanography, aerospace and other disciplines, and achieved important results.            

In 2018, 34 graduates and 35 doctoral graduates were trained in key laboratories. In 2018, 111 graduate students and 231 doctoral students were studying for master's degree. In 2018, graduate students in key laboratories won many awards, including 9 students such as Xiao Jing won national scholarships and 7 students such as Zhang Qiangqiang won outstanding scholarships at school level. Xu Wuqin and other three doctoral students were awarded Huang Ziyuan scholarship. The doctoral students under the guidance of Professor PI Zhaobin in the laboratory were awarded Youbo grant from Zhejiang University.
